Tetris® Link™ Earns 2011 Holiday Seal of Approval
Friday, January 20, 2012
New York – November 14, 2011 – The National Parenting Center (TNPC) has bestowed Tetris® Link™ and 20Q™ from Techno Source with its parent and child certified 2011 Holiday Seal of Approval. Intent on providing the most comprehensive and responsible parenting advice to parents everywhere, TNPC identifies the finest products and services being marketed to the parent/child audience.
TNPC’s consumer-oriented testing process solicits evaluations from parents and their children. The testing involves a multi-step process conducted over an eight week period. Testers are encouraged to play with, build, read about, and judge by the reactions of the children and each product's quality. This award signifies to other parents that their peers have acknowledged a product's quality and desirability based on a wide variety of determining factors.
After spending time playing Tetris Link, TNPC testers reported, “A unique twist on the shape dropping game that ate away hours of our lives, this game is played face to face against an opponent and right there is where the folks at Techno Source hit the nail on the head. The strategic thinking, out smarting and out maneuvering gave this game a brand new lease on life, to which our testers said, Bravo.”
20Q was also a favorite among TNPC reviewers, who said, “Twenty questions, like so many games that were once played with nothing more than imagination, has moved into the 21st century and become a tech item… Good instructions, fast game play and compact size make it a winner.”
The Tetris Link game begins as players take turns rolling the die and dropping Tetriminos (iconic Tetris playing pieces) into the game tower. The object of the game is to link Tetriminos of the same color to score points while blocking opponents from scoring. But, be careful! Players can lose points for any holes left in the game tower. Points are tracked in real-time with built-in scorers. When the tower is full, the player with the highest score wins the game. It is easy enough for younger kids to learn, while still challenging for seasoned strategists. The tabletop game promotes strategic thinking and organizational skills. Play time: 15-20 minutes.
Perfect for two to four players, Tetris® Link™ includes the game tower, 100 playing pieces in four colors, playing die and instructions. Recommended for those ages 6 to adult, Tetris® Link™ is now available for purchase at major and specialty retailers nationwide for $24.99.
20Q is a mystical orb with a modern, sleek and sophisticated design. Its glowing faceplate will brighten and dim as it senses what people are thinking. After each question, players will answer yes, no, sometimes or rarely, with their object in mind. A new feature button allows players to skip a question, and there’s even an undo button for those who change their minds. This portable electronic handheld game allows for easy on-the-go play and offers adjustable sound control. Recommended for those ages 6 and up, and available in three colors: red, blue and pink, 20Q is
great for every member of the family. 20Q can be purchased for $12.99 and $19.99 (mega screen version) at major and specialty retailers nationwide.
